As I said in my last journal, I’m 10 years on Deviantart already! Oh, the time flies sooo fast…
Well, let’s stop with sentiment: I’ve got a contest for you as a celebration of this anniversary! :la:
Theme is DREAMY ANIMALS. Honestly, I’ll let you decide on your own if your submission fits to the rules or not – I won’t reje
‘Twas the night before Christmas on DeviantArt,
Not a paintbrush was stirring, and creators took heart.
The artists scrolled through Daily Deviations with care
Knowing kindred warm-fuzzies soon would be there.
Deviants were all swiping, all snug on their phones
While visions of inspiration across all time zones
Were zapped to their smart device, quick as can be,
At the tap of a button in a +Fav’ing spree!
When across the Interwebs there arose such a clatter,
I sprang to the Comments to see what was the matter,

No matter the reason, any stay in a hospital could use a little sunshine. And what better way to brighten a hospital stay than with art from the heart?
After nine successful years of DeviantArt's #HolidayCardProject, we've decided to bring the project to the summer months, for the first ever #SummerCardProject!
The idea behind this project is simple: create an inspirational card to brighten the day of someone staying in a hospital. If you're looking for even more incentive, every deviant who sends in a card will be given a free one-month Core Membership to DeviantArt.
Last December, the project received over 4,500 cards sent in from 2,000
Hi I'm Kerri. I'm mostly a self-trained artiest. I took art seriously in 6th grade when I was told I couldn't draw. I've had many nay Sayers about my art in my life. I took a break from serious flat work for 2 years concentrating on painting ceramic figures. All that changed 9 months ago when I was inspired to do something for a friend in ceramics that required me to draw once more. I've come back better then when I stopped. My friends are my muse and I have fans of my art work. I get asked why I sometimes give my art to people of no charge. I do it because it is loved by people and that to me is worth more then money. Coming from a person who was told they can't draw and that my art is a waste of time. Peace to all my haters out there.
